TIME IS NOW OR NEVER...!

An Ideal Official Prescription
for THE Anti-National Elements …!!!

Why doesn’t the government of India pass an ordinance that could be eventually made into a Law in consonance with the ruling of the Supreme Court whereby no one was supposed to be allowed to make any protest at the cost of the loss of economic activity whereby the common man is put to hardships, in any region of our country, forget about the already declared disturbed area…?
"Any Protest where all civic life is disrupted by force is civil emergency. How can it be tolerated?"  Such happenings only violated the fundamental rights of the average citizen who is a common man earning just two square meals a day. No one is opposed to a peaceful genuine political protest or workers' right to strike. These are constitutional rights. What we are opposed to is the coercion and violence inherent to any kind of protest. If any kind of protest enforcers take the entire city as hostage. How can civil society allow it? These are the cases to levy exemplary damages on the leaders and organizations who organize such violence and hatred among the citizens. The right to protest does not equate with the right to coerce others into that protest and indulge in violence.

The State of J&K has already been declared a very disturbed area. Under the circumstances some of the renowned anti-national elements the likes of Mr.Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Maulana Umar  Farooq , Mr.Yasin Malik , Shabir Shah and many more across the country who have been having the criminal cases pending against them , who have been creating havoc in the valley by declaring a personal Weekly Calendar for the kind of disturbances ( Bandh ) to be followed date wise and AT a particular time, by the citizens, as if a parallel government were functioning in the Valley. Over the past two decades, the new ethos is that of Islamic fundamentalist education, veiled little schoolgirls, and women in purdah – in a land that was once happy and at peace. A new gun-culture has replaced the culture of harmony that once epitomized ‘the rich, artistic, synergetic culture’ of the valley.

This has put heavy pressure and untold suffering on the daily life of the common man in the Valley; who is not going to gain an iota from all these disturbances’. But, surprisingly of late even the state government whose authority has all along been selectively and continuously challenged for three months, did not take any fool proof measures effectively to prevent him (Mr.Geelani)  from making such illegal frequent bandh calls to the masses, that bore heavy toll on the common man, not only because of the loss of economic activity but also because of these mischievous activities being displayed on the streets taking the mankind back to the Stone Age. Obviously, the common man is directly or indirectly put to a lot of hardships, in daily life.

To prevent any untoward incident taking place because of the patronage lent to the Stone Age era, the J&K Police had to take necessary precautionary measures to maintain law and order and that they have been doing effectively. The separatist forces with malicious intentions to deluge the civilized society in the valley purposefully wanted some mischief to take place in order to present their case in a volatile manner and be heard with the top echelons of the GOI, without having any risk of themselves getting involved into any type of controversy related to their past misdeeds and crimes….!!!

The climax that eventually happened was on the day of EID, the 11th. Of September, 2010, this was incidentally exactly 101 st. day of the series of Bandh Calls made by Geelani & Co. as it all had started on 14th June 2010.

Since then virtually even the Government employees are being paid their salaries sitting at home .The shops have been mostly closed. The trade had to suffer a lot because of this misuse of the dangerous weed of violence and high handedness of the terrorist forces operating in the Valley…!!
Please read the following News items;
1)               Eid turns violent in Kashmir Valley http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Eid-turns-violent-in-Kashmir-Valley/articleshow/6536873.cms

2)             Eid marred by violence in Valley

3)            Violence erupts in Srinagar after Eid prayers

4)           Street protests, violence after Eid prayers in Kashmir

5)             Massive anti-India rally held in Kashmir

The million Dollar question is what will be the gain to the common masses from these Bandh Calls and repeated protests marred with violence and a new strategy of inciting Stone Pelting as if that would justify the cause for which they were fighting . Soon after news channels began beaming an intercepted conversation, allegedly between a Hurriyat leader and one of its foot soldiers, in a video that supposedly lays bare cash payments made to foment protests, a counter video appeared on YouTube. It claimed that the official version had mischievously gained in translation. The Kashmiri equivalent of the phrase “enjoy your salary”, used to refer to government employees who earn despite not working during curfews, had been used as a convenient “proof” of how public protests may be sponsored. This also reflects glaring the loopholes in the laws governing the Service Rules of the Government employees which have been well exploited by the Separatist forces…!

Youngsters who can barely spell revolution are uploading videos set to Chris de Burgh’s rallying song, Revolution—telling images of public protests in Kashmir. Blogs written by the Kashmiri Muslims too are rife with the rhetoric of “Azaadi”, only to create a propaganda blitz camouflaging the acts of crime done in the past against the Kashmiri Pandits and the Indian nation at large.

Amazing thing is that the youth and younger children, who are being mercilessly roped in to face the bullets of the Police; the very Police force  who are supposed to control the rioting by the civilians on complete misguidance of the separatist forces, are not at all aware of the dimensions of the word “Azaadi” as such . . . !!!! The whole drama of unrest, manipulated by vested interests against the wishes of the majority community, is basically about the Kashmiri “fighting for independence against the, so projected, wicked Indian state”, a thing that we happen to see repeated ad nauseum not just from corridors’ of Pakistan but also in some ill informed Indian mainstream media outlets.

My basic protest is with the word “Azaadi” that actually means nothing short of “Freedom” as envisaged by the separatist forces. …!!  Historically, all Independence struggles have been fought against the foreign powers, those who have taken control over a piece of territory for the purpose of economic exploitation. It has also been at times fought between people belonging to the same nation, like the Bangladesh Independence Struggle ; where a section of the population that had attained power (Punjabi Muslims) treated  another ethnic or linguistic minority community (in this case Bengali Muslims) as second class citizens, systematically annihilating and depriving them of their most basic rights.

However, in the case of Kashmir, none of this is found to be true. At the outset, India does not “economically exploit” Kashmir. On the contrary it spends a massive amount on the state trying to buy the loyalty of the population. (NY Times, which last time I looked wasn’t a right wing newspaper, says: “The dirty little secret of Srinagar, the heart of the movement to secede from India, is that many of its residents live quite well on the Indian government’s money.”
At the very least, no one can accuse the Indian government of taking anything out of the state, if for nothing else but because there is not much to take out.  It is of course true that a lot of the development money, that is required for development purposes lands up in wrong hands (that happens everywhere in India) but there are far more deprived areas of India that have no “freedom struggles”. Moreover, as to the rights of Kashmiri citizens, they have more privileges over property ownership that very few Indian citizens outside Kashmir have, making them “super citizens” rather than inferior ones.

That draws a safe conclusion that none of the traditional characteristics of freedom struggles hold true here. But it is true that Kashmiris Muslims (Sunnis in particular) refuse to go along with the rest of the country not because of any kind of exploitation but because of directions from their detractors across the borders...!! Hence they are not shouting for Freedom..!! It is just a well meaning, well planned, well orchestrated and well executed plot of a proxy war administered by the enemies of the country.

In fact the enemies of the country have so well executed the plan of unrest in the valley, only to showcase the world bodies that it is not labeled as a Pakistani creation but simply put the result of indigenous demands of the Kashmiri Muslims. In short The Kashmiris Muslims are fighting to establish a theocratic Islamic Shariyat state, aligned with or as an intrinsic part of Pakistan, where “independence” is defined somewhat as it is defined in Qatar, with subjugated status for minorities, and where the establishment of “liberty, equality and fraternity”, the ideals of any freedom struggle, is farthest from the minds of the stone-throwers and those that support them.

Good….!! Sounds Very Strange and mischievous indeed….!!!
But let me put forward the following questions to the brains behind this mad rhetoric in the valley :
1)   If tomorrow the majority in Jat-land start an armed struggle to establish an autonomous Khap-istan where honor killings and dowry and marriages of minors are legal and where inter-caste marriage implies death and retributive rape, would you call that an “independence” struggle and say that India should just let them have their way and not have the Army fight them…?
2) If day after tomorrow, The State of Gujarat ~ India’s most-hated state, decides that it wants to throw out its Muslim minorities and establish a Hindu-theocratic Dhokla-land; then will the same Indians who post “Stop illegal military occupation of Kashmir by The Indian Union” on their Facebook feeds, also support the rights of Gujarati Hindus to choose how they wish to be governed because that’s what “Gujarati” majority wants in Gujarat …?
3) Similarly if the original residents of Assam and allied N.E. States decide once for all to eliminate all the illegal migrants from Bangla Desh thru violent means and throw them in the Brahmaputra so that they safely reach their own homeland will the GOI allow that to happen instead of a proper official identification and expatriation of the Illegal migrants on Government to Government level.
4) If the Bengalis decide once for all that enough is enough and they need to throw out the Muslim Population out of Bengal as they have done in Bangla Desh by throwing out the Hindus after Independence of the Bangla Desh an event which was possible only with the Blood of the Hindus’ and not the blood of the Pakistani Muslims.….!! Will the GOI allow it TO HAPPEN..!! No way…!!

Hence what is the ideal prescription for the stalemate …
The need of the hour is that the Government of India needs to step in with a polite but firm hand to assert its rightful and meaningful authority on the valley as any other Government would have done…!! There are examples galore across the world where the governments have acted but swiftly to restore law and order.
1)   There is no doubt that the Government of J&K has completely failed in its mission to maintain law and order forget about controlling the separatist forces in the Valley. This fact has also been admitted by the parties of the valley. Hence immediate imposition of the President’s rule in the Valley. At least that will entail return of peace and tranquility much to the liking of the common man in the valley.
2) Order for the proper investigations into the causes that that have lead to this terror and violence in the valley. After all a well planned movement of ethnic cleansing could not have been successfully done without the help of some outside greater forces and without detailed planning.
3) Most important of all aspects being to identify the cruel separatist forces who have been responsible for   the ethnic cleansing of the Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley, in 1990. As a law abiding nation with a proper constitution it is primary duty of the GOI to probe into the aspects and the leaders who had masterminded those operations. Height of mis-management of the Kashmir affairs is that even today those criminals and anti-national elements are roaming like normal, well to do citizens with all the facilities of a normal citizen. If the GOI fails to do so then they have sent wrong signals to similar separatist forces budding in other parts of the country like Assam, Kerala and many other territories to encourage arson and terror in a similar fashion only to prove their point of view…
4)WE need to learn our basic lessons from the other Governments who have also successfully weeded out such elements in order to restore normalcy in their respective countries. After all it is important to maintain the Unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country as a whole in the larger interests of the security of the nation.
5)  We should immediately begin lobbying for the pull out of the military from the region of POK and demand in all international forums for the return of the whole of POK back to India as it is an integral part of India according to the Instrument of Accession. In fact we can also make use of force to get back our territory as was done by Britain to regain control of the Falkland Islands’. This should be taken as the test case of the capabilities of successful diplomatic lobbying by the MEA in international forums. The way Indira Gandhi went herself around the world before launching a war on East Pakistan to save the life and property of the residents of the erstwhile East Pakistan.
6)  Arrange for the reconstruction of all the Temples in the valley and formal Shilanyaas of the Holy Deities in the Kashmir Valley.
7) Removal of Article 370 from the constitution of India with immediate effect without any second thought. If the Privy Purses that were promised to the erstwhile Princes while making the Union Of India could have been abolished. This was the promise of the GOI that Sardar Patel had vehemently claimed that it would never be diluted come may. But it was also later done away with in the interest of the security of the nation as a whole. Similarly Article 370 has already outlived its utility of life term as was envisaged by the authors’ o f the constitution of India.
8) Immediately reinstate the land and property of at least two lacs KASHMIRI Pandits back to them in the Valley along with their formal rehabilitation with respect, dignity and assurance of the security of their life and property in future; just in order to re-establish the secular credentials of the GOI as also of the Govt. of J&K, which have of late taken a very strong beating because of their complete ignorance of the basic Human Rights of the Kashmiris Pandits..!! The way the GOI and the Govt. of J&K has fallen victim to the crocodile tears of the separatist forces all along in the valley, both the governments also need to simultaneously attend to the genuine tribulations of the Hindus as well to establish their secular credentials by way of earning well meaning confidence of the Hindus across the country.
9)Immediately allow all the Non-Muslims from across India to establish industries and viable trading establishments in the valley which will in a way also improve the scope of reducing un-employment in the Valley and also usher in an era of economic development in the Valley so as the common man is not put to any more hardships .
10)                     The GOI should immediately  pass an ordinance that all those so called Indians who are found to be involved in any kind of anti-national activities’ like encouraging and also personally involved in the acts of
·      Shouting Anti-India slogans
·      Burning or disrespecting of the National Flag
·      Housing of arms and ammunition required to be used for anti-National activities
·      Letting out accommodation on rent or otherwise to the persons with doubtable integrity as to be involved in any type of anti-national activities
·      Persons found to be involved in Issuing of the Ration Cards/ Passports / Telephone Connections / Mobile connections/Electoral Voting Cards and such other documents of national identity
·      Persons found to be acting as ordinary persons but involved in spying operations
·      And of course Muslim clergy who are often found to be issuing statements in public against the interests and security of the nation
As per the terms of the new law, all such persons should be immediately identified and the following course of action be taken against them:
Ø They should be immediately arrested…!
Ø They should be immediately removed from the official Voter’s List
Ø They will not be entitled to be called as the normal citizens of the country.
Ø  Their passports, Ration Cards, Voter Identity cards etc should be immediately seized and made defunct.
Ø Their bank accounts should be immediately seized and checked for the sources of their income.
Ø They should not be allowed to hold the positions of authority or governance in any of the offices of the Government of India.
Ø Their property should be immediately seized and kept under close surveillance by the Police.
Ø All those terrorists, who are found to be directly involved in looting and mayhem, should be executed with or without any trial maximum within a span of one month.

Enough is enough...!! The GOI has been already taken for granted too much by the enemies of the nation within and without the boundaries of the country.  The Government of India needs to act tough on these lines only to establish its authority and secular credentials for a peaceful and well organized system of administration in the country.

Moral of the story being, that all the separatist and anti-national  forces will not be tolerated in the country at any cost in the interest of the security  of the nation .

Blasphemous Faux pas committed By “The Times of India”

Blasphemous Faux pas committed
By “The Times of India”

September 17, 2010

Today morning I was shocked to spine, when I happened to read the Chronology of events that have been responsible to shape the events of the valley of Jammu & Kashmir after 1947, in my most favorite Newspaper  “The Times of India”….!!

For once I again looked at the top of the page that I was reading and also the front page of the paper to confirm whether by mistake I had been reading “The Times of India” or “The Times of Pakistan”…!!

This has reference to the article printed today in the “The Times of India”, on the page of “Times Nation”:
Jammu and Kashmir: Faultlines over the decades
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Jammu-and-Kashmir-Faultlines-over-the-decades/articleshow/6563148.cms

It was a matter of real disappointment and excruciating jolt to my psyche  that the reputed national Paper like “The Times of India”, could have dared to  commit such a blunder and should have deliberately ignored the year 1990; the year when final barbarous, ruthless and vindictive ethnic cleansing of the whole community of 7 Lac Kashmiri Pandits materialized, from at the behest and vicious call of the Kashmiri Muslims, completely ignoring the Human Rights violation of the Hindu Pandit Community and the Government of India loosing complete control of the situation as they could not dare to arrest even a single terrorist from the mosques who were openly operating from those edifices’ of Islamic Jihad and of course  completely obliterating the whole  law and order situation . The whole Police force of J&K Police , C.R.P.F. and the might of Indian Military became a mute spectator and silent witness to the gory genocide and annihilation of the Kashmiris Pandits’ community at the malicious and hateful attitude of the Kashmiris Muslims in that year .

Height was that the editorial board of the paper considered a minor event like the Rigging of the elections in 1987 to be important enough to be considered as the reason enough to change the course of the History of the valley but the event of the complete ethnic cleansing of the whole community of 7 Lac Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 that shook the whole world by surprise was considered to be insignificant.

January 19, 1990, marked twenty years since what is generally recognized as the beginning of this process of ethnic cleansing as a result of which the Kashmiri Pandits were hounded out of the Kashmir Valley. On this day in 1990, a Kashmiri Pandit nurse working at the Soura Medical College Hospital in Srinagar was raped and later killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists. The incident was preceded by massacres of Pandit families in the Telwani and Sangrama villages of Budgam district and other places in the Kashmir Valley. The story of Human rights violation being exercised by the Kashmiri Muslims, against the peace loving community of Kashmiri Pandits in the Kashmir Valley is very long and historical .

While the Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) claimed a ‘secular’ agenda of liberation from Indian rule, the terrorist intent was clearly to drive non-Muslim ‘infidels’ out of the State and establish Nizam-e-Mustafa (literally, the Order of the Prophet; government according to the Shariah).

Accounts of Pandits from this traumatic period reveal that it was not unusual to see posters and announcements – including many articles and declarations in local newspapers – telling them to leave the Valley. Pandit properties were either destroyed or taken over by terrorists or by local Muslims, and there was a continuous succession of brutal killings, a trend that continues even today.

Among the worst victims of this conflict are the Kashmiri Pandits, descendents of Hindu priests and among the original inhabitants of the Kashmir Valley, with a recorded history of over 5,000 years. Over the millennia, this community has been integral not only to the cultural and intellectual life of the people of this region, but the bulwark of its administration and economic development as well.

The Pandits have now become the nasty targets and cruel victims of one of the most successful, though little-known, campaigns of ethnic cleansing in the world. Pogroms of a far lesser magnitude in other parts of the world have attracted international attention, censure and action in support of the victim communities, but this is an insidious campaign that has passed virtually unnoticed, and on which the world and the authorities of the GOI remains silent.

Among the complex reasons for this neglect is, perhaps, the nature of this community itself. Where other campaigns of ethnic cleansing of comparably lesser magnitudes across the world have invariably provoked at least some retaliatory violence, the deep tradition and culture of non-violence among the Kashmiri Pandits has made them accept their suffering in silence, with not a single act of retaliatory violence on record.

Ethnic cleansing was evidently a systematic component of the terrorists’ strategic agenda Islamic Jihad in J&K, and estimates suggest that, just between February and March 1990, around 140,000 to 160,000 Pandits had fled the Kashmir Valley to Jammu, Delhi, or other parts of the country. Simultaneously, there were a number of high-profile killings of senior Hindu officials, intellectuals and prominent personalities. Eventually, an estimated 400,000 Pandits – over 95 per cent of their original population in the Valley – became part of the neglected statistic of ‘internal refugees’ who were pushed out of their homes as a result of this campaign of pure Islamic Terror.

Point to be noted here is that not only did the Indian state and the GOI completely fail to protect the community of the Kashmiri Pandits in their own homes within the confines of their own country, even the successive governments have provided little more than minimal humanitarian relief, and this exiled community seldom features in the discourse on the ‘Kashmir issue’ and its resolution.

The GOI, even after twenty years is still not able to rehabilitate the law abiding citizens of its own country in their own homes with dignity and honor that is the fundamental right of every citizen of the country as per the constitution.

And now this so called national Paper of our country has done more harm to the interests of the community than even the enemy of the nation. I would like to question the Management of the TOI whether they have dared to do this as a part of the propaganda war that is being already propagated by the Government of Pakistan, ISI and the Pakistani Media against the Kashmiris Pandits in particular on all international forums. Possibly tomorrow the Government of Pakistan may use the clippings of the “Times of India “in the UNO to prove their point that there has been no Human Rights Violation against the Kashmiri Hindu Pandits at all in the valley of Kashmir.

If the management of the TOI realizes its fault then why shouldn’t they tender an apology to the Kashmiris Pandits openly in its own paper for the faux pas committed against the basic interests, integrity, respect and emancipation of the community and as a proof of their acceptance of the serious information blunder; should again print the whole page in the very next issue with the necessary corrections.
